Head of Product Management
A regional, renowned e-business company is looking for a successful Head of Product Management for its APAC markets. The role is a multi-talented team player who has great passion and skill for researching, designing and managing a large international network and online products.

The Head of Product Management will manage and develop a small and growing team of professional Product Analysts, and have great knowledge and experience of online product design and management methodologies.

This is an exciting and rewarding new role where your primary objective is to own the overall execution, enhancement and extension of the portal through your team of Product Analysts. You will lead design of the network and products to ensure the success of the portal in the high growth Asian region.

We want a creative and confident person, embedded in the online product management discipline and engaged by their work – who wants to work side-by-side with user experience professionals, researchers, technology and marketing to evolve our Web, mobile and email offerings.

Your key responsibilities:
•Stay abreast of advances on the Web (both technical and experiential) and look for ways to appropriately integrate these advances into the portal experience
•Provide input to and remain informed of changes in strategic direction to play a key leadership role in product strategy and prioritisation of initiatives of the product portfolio to align with the group’s strategy
•Ensure integration of efforts by staying informed of strategic direction, major initiatives, collaborating with peers to combine efforts, and creating synergies where appropriate
•Manage and coordinate initiatives of your team of Product Analysts, and occasionally lead your own initiatives (time permitting)
•Take full ownership of product design requirements, development of new features, and the ongoing operation and extension of the existing interfaces.
•Lead the evolution of product management process including design, development, launch and ongoing product management.
•Develop the skills and careers of a small and growing team of Product Analysts/Managers who report directly to you.
•Contribute to the Global Product Management team to help evolve our offering, processes and world domination
To meet the challenge, you would have:
Product Management skills
•Significant work experience that includes at least 10 years relevant work experience and a demonstrated track record of successful online product management delivery
•Strong critical reasoning, commercial and analytical skills
•Excellent understanding of website management, content management and usability, including technical capabilities and limitations
•Demonstrable experience in both B2B and B2C websites and products, mobile, comms or EDM, or experience of website and online product in Asia or developing countries a plus
•Degree in Business or Commerce, Information Science, Information Design, E commerce or related studies
Management and communication skills
•A combination of creative, conceptual, analytical and management skills, ability to work well with other team members and good track record of managing and developing online product management professionals
•Broader business stakeholder knowledge and ability to articulate changes that influence the business direction
•Fluent English with a good command of both spoken and written English with excellent influencing and interpersonal skills. Fluency in Mandarin, Cantonese, Thai or Indonesian is preferred but not essential.
