Design Manager / Chief Fashion Designer
A renowned local retail fashion company is looking for a Design Manager for its Hong Kong and China markets.

Description :
Reporting to the Product Director, you will supervise a design team of 10 people to manage the overall design functions.

You will be responsible for:
• managing the overall design functions of the menswear formal (suiting) and stylish product lines, includes conducting market trend research, developing collection architecture including theme, color, fabrication, finishing, styles, price point and also fashion graphic, etc.
• developing & merchandising the collection based on a clear understanding of commercial market trends and sales history of different markets.

Job Requirements:
• Higher Diploma or above in Fashion Design or related disciplines;
• Over 12 years experience in designing and product development of comprehensive product range, preferably well-versed in knits and woven items;
• Experience in formal wear design, preferably gained from retailers;
• At least 5 years experience in leading a design team, exposure in fashion graphic and accessories design are essential;
• Understand market trends, lifestyles and customer needs for both HK and overseas markets;
• With strong passion on fashion, good fashion sense, color matching and fabric knowledge;
• Good communication and presentation skills;
• Good command of both written and spoken English, Chinese & Putonghua;
• Sound PC knowledge and well-versed in Illustrator & Photoshop

Candidate with less experience will be considered as Chief Designer.
